• WORLD BOOK DAY – THURSDAY 5TH MARCH

  World Book Day is Thursday 5th March when the children will be given the opportunity to dress up as their favourite book character and bring in their favourite book.

  We will also be organising lots of activities as part of our World Book Day celebrations.

• Year 4 visit to Tate Britain

  As part of an ongoing Tate project, Year 4 visited Tate Britain on Wednesday 8th January. They viewed their class portraits which are displayed alongside many others from schools across London.

  

• Coffee Morning with Sutton College

  Thu 09 Jan 2020

  We will be hosting a coffee morning in partnership with Sutton College on Monday 13th January at 8.50am.

  This will be a chance to catch up with other parents whilst enjoying a cup of tea or coffee and some biscuits.

  Staff from Sutton College will also be available to provide information on courses that they offer in the local community.

• The Sun Books for Schools

  Our school has registered for The Sun Books for Schools in association with Collins Books.

  With your support, our school is aiming to collect 3500 tokens.These will be printed in The Sun and The Sun on Sunday from Saturday 23rd November 2019 to Saturday 18th January 2020.

  Just 45 people need to be collecting each day to reach the total.
  As well as collecting yourselves, please ask friends, family and neighbours to get collecting too!

   

  Please hand in any collected tokens to the school office.

  The Sun has teamed up with HarperCollins to provide primary schools across England, Wales and Northern Ireland a free pack of 106 books, worth more than £600!

   

  From early phonic development to fluent reading, Collins Big Cat is a whole-school reading programme that provides complete support for primary reading. The free books included within the packs cover a diverse range of subjects from fairy tales to football, from camping to crocodiles and from wild cats to worms – there is really something for all ages and abilities.
