School meals and Current Menus
Our school uses a company called Caterlink to provide school meals for the children. The meals meet the School Food Standards and provide a hot balanced meal every day.
The catering team freshly prepare and cook the meals in our school kitchen.
Meals includes a choice of two main meals (one of which is suitable for a vegetarian or halal diet) or a jacket potato with filling, a choice of two vegetables, a salad bar, freshly baked bread, a pudding of the day or a choice of fresh fruit, yogurt or cheese and biscuits.
Changing your child's meal pattern
It is the responsibility of parent/carers to advise us of changes to school meal patterns.
We cannot accept responsibility for accounts that are incorrectly charged.
A minimum of one weeks' notice is required to make a change, please complete and submit this form.
Infants (Years 1 & 2)
All children are automatically provided with a Universal Free School Meal irrespective of income. Alternatively you may provide your child with a packed lunch.
(Please see the below information regarding Pupil Premium/Free School Meals).
From September 2022, school meals will cost £2.45 per day/£12.25 per week.
Payment must be made weekly in advance via our Arbor parent portal, please log-in here.
Please contact the school office if you require details on how to set up an account.
Pupil premium is additional funding for publicly funded schools in England to raise the attainment of disadvantaged pupils of all abilities and to close the gaps between them and their peers.
Your child may also be eligible to receive a free school meal under certain criteria.
To check if your child is eligible for pupil premium/free school meals (in Years 3 - 6) you must register with the London Grid for Learning (LGfL). Please follow this link for further information.
We ask that if you register your child as soon as they join Wallington Primary Academy.
This will ensure that our school receives the correct funding for your child from the day they start.
In addition, your child will then continue to receive a school meal free of charge as they enter Year 3 as the Universal Free School Meal scheme ceases at the end of Year 2.
