Covid-19
Current update from Head of School
We were delighted when school re-opened in September 2020.
However, in line with current government guidance, our school is currently closed.
Our provision is currently open to identified vulnerable children and those of key workers only.
School hours are currently Monday to Friday, 8.45am to 3.15pm.
We look forward to seeing you all together when our school is able re-open.
In the meantime, we encourage our parents and pupils to engage with teachers by taking part in online learning. Never has children's learning, development and well-being been so important.
Our school staff are still here to support you all.
Please visit our Blended Learning page for information about how we are supporting our pupils during this period of school closure.
Please all keep safe and well.
Best wishes,
Mrs Guerin
This page serves as a dedicated place relating to our school's response to COVID-19.
When school did re-open in September 2020, we adapted how we communicate and connect with our community and endeavored to engage with you as best we can, in a new and versatile way.
For example, our curriculum evenings, performances and open days continued to be available virtually.
Pre-recorded parent workshops will be added to our website as we progress through the year so that you can use these as a point of reference whenever suits you. If you have any suggestions on how these could be improved then please do contact us.

Mitigating risks in response to Covid-19
At WPA we have comprehensive risk assessments in place to reduce the risk to pupils, staff, visiting professionals and our community.
When visiting our school we ask all visitors to only make essential and pre-planned visits and we request that all visitors to wear face masks inside the building at all times (where medical needs do not prevent this).
On school grounds and within, you will observe a one-way stream of pedestrian traffic. This is to help you move safely and swiftly when visiting for appointments or for school drop off and pick up.
Our staggered start and finish times ensure that overcrowding is minimised and our waiting zones for different year groups enables parents to distance themselves from other families.
Pupils are encouraged to demonstrate good respiratory hygiene and operate in year group or, age-phase bubbles. These bubbles apply throughout their school day, during learning, PE, breaks and lunchtimes.
If we follow the guidance, together we can combat this infection.

Assemblies during school closure
During school closure we delivered remote school assemblies to our community. Here are some of the assemblies that we shared.
